Harvest for Hope is a charitable garden that grows fresh produce for food pantries and community kitchens in Dayton, OH. In a 2016 FRAC report, Dayton was listed as the 2nd highest city in the United States for families experiencing food hardship (29.4% of surveyed households). We want to expand our growing production, so we can support front-line organizations provide fresh produce and cooked meals for our hungry families.

In order to reach our goals, we need to:

  • strengthen our fences and build gates. (We love the deer, but we really want to feed people first!),
  • hire folks in need of work to cut grass, and
  • purchase supplies to continue building our fruit garden (fresh fruit is hard to come by in food pantries).

We are also partnering with a local organization to build an agricultural refugee program to assist recent immigrants in learning English. Anticipated costs of these endeavors is $5,000.

Please help us feed hungry families by making a donation and sharing this campaign today. We know with your support we can truly have an impact!
